Did you know that regardless of what we bill for ambulance rides - insurance providers, Medicare and Medicaid pay only a fraction of what's billed? This isn't just a North Park problem, this is a systemic issue nationwide.

Quick tip: If your insurance provider rejects a 911 ambulance bill by claiming the provider is "out of network" on your explanation of benefits, this is a tactic to not pay. Fight this, call your provider and explain that emergency services are exempt from being out of network and demand the claim be reprocessed. This often corrects the issue.

Yes, very true! You are already paying for it so get the payment for the fire department! If everyone did this the taxes could be lowered!

Under EMTALA Law the insurance has to process as in network!
