Do you have an interest in the fire service? Need a springboard to get experience as you chase your dream to be a career firefighter? Wanting to serve the community you live in? Maybe you were in a team sport and miss being part of a team?
If any of the above apply to you, North Park Fire might be a good fit. The North Park Fire family is a mix of many backgrounds that love to serve the greater good. Many have chosen to be firefighters to serve the community they live in. Some are young men and women working hard to become full-time career firefighters, and North Park alumni have a proven record of success achieving their career dreams at many departments in the Midwest and even as far as Texas and Alaska.
If you're interested in the fire service, please contact us at 815-636-3051 or npfd@npfpd.org and we'd be happy to sit down with you to discuss what we can offer whatever your ambition may be. We'll help you earn state certifications, achieve your EMT-B, assist financially with college fire science classes and more. The next fire academy program starts in July, so the sooner we talk the sooner we can reserve you a spot. Spots WILL fill quickly.

Great department to work with and amazing community served!

We're very fortunate at North Park Fire to have Hillary King keeping thing running smoothly behind the scenes. In a very short time, she's learned a great deal, made many processes more efficient and overall keeps some of us sane. (Well, under control anyway.) Hillary is a key part of the North Park family, and we appreciate her more than words!

Happy Administrative Professional's Day Hillary! Thanks for all that you do.
